Merryn started with 4CRB in 2019 as a volunteer newsreader. She has a background in leadership consulting and coaching but her love of reading the news started in Sydney as a newsreader with 2RPH, Reading for the Print Handicapped. In 2019 she moved to Queensland and joined 4CRB as a newsreader and she also has a music session. In 2021 she pitched a program idea to 4CRB, was given the go-ahead and started a program which she calls ‘Our Community’ which involves interviewing people from the not-for-profit sector where they showcase the amazing work they do for the Community. The people she has interviewed so far include representatives from Orange Sky, University of the Third Age (U3A), Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, Volunteer Marine Rescue, Parrots for Purpose, Radfly, Serving Our People, Albatross Nippers and many more.
Merryn loves her involvement with 4CRB as it gives her an opportunity to reach the Community in a number of ways.
