Of course, you also visit the Gothic cathedral, which rises high into the Norman sky and is one of the most important sacral buildings in France.
Day 5
During night, MS River Venture moves to Les Andelys. In this pretty place, which is dominated by a mighty castle, there is time for an individual stroll in the morning. In the afternoon, the small town of Vernon lends the ship a berth. From here a coach excursion leads to *Giverny, where the house and studio as well as the wonderful gardens and the often painted water lily pond of the impressionist Claude Monet entice you to visit. In the evening the river cruise is continued to Conflans.
Day 6
The morning excursion takes you from Conflans to the baroque *Chantilly Castle, whose park is considered one of the most famous baroque gardens in the country. The famous horticultural artist André Le Nôtre played a major role in the design of this extensive complex with its large water basins and lawns. In the afternoon, MS River Venture continues towards Paris, which will be reached in the evening.
