4CRB is a non-profit community broadcasting station operated by the Gold Coast Christian and community broadcasting Association. It is licensed to provide an alternative service for the people 50 years of age and over on the Gold Coast and it operates on an FM frequency of 89.3.
The station commenced operations in 1984 and was the first FM broadcasting station on the Gold Coast. A large team of volunteers including the Committee of Management, and a few paid staff are responsible for the operations of this station. Stations programs are produced for the over 50s age group. The Gold Coast which has an overall population of approximately 700,000 people.
The station endeavours by its programs, to be an instrument of community welfare and information and entertainment.
The station is financed by generous sponsors and also by its appreciative listeners at Radiothon time once per year.
